that's hysterical. i hide my really, really good scissors in my sock drawer--nobody ever wants to fold or put away socks, so they're safe, there. had a friend who bought a padlock, and put it through the handles of the scissors. only she had the key.

Maybe the toenails scissors owner didn't train her daughter as well as you trained yours so when she left her scissors at her daughter's house her daughter wrote toenails on grandmas scissors so nobody would touch them...
