Do you think anyone reads what they write before sending it out.

These days even the newspapers need more proofreading.......and how about some of the english in conversation......or on the TV?

I wonder if the kids today know that there is the nominative case and an objective case and when to use which and why???

I cringe when I hear "me and her" went shopping !!!!!!!!!

    Makes one wonder, doesn't it?????

Do they even teach English in schools anymore? At least it was called English when I went to school, who knows what it might be called now!!! Thanks Ditter for the morning chuckle.

About the Jaywalkers. A cop in Dallas one time shot a jaywalker. Seriously.

Pity the poor columnist striving to get someone's attention with such awful lead-ins. My pet peeve is not "Me and---" but I have went or I seen it.

The read as if "thinking" is the dying art!
When it seems like the world is falling to pieces remember that the pieces are falling into place. We are nearing closer to the End Times.

Those are funny, but so true. I think most of the "editors" are using spellcheck and not checking grammar. They also seem to miss checking the word, even if spellcheck doesn't say the spelling is wrong. I was reading a book the other day and the character had "died" the fabric, rather than "dyed" it.

Sometimes it's really bad reading the running "headlines" on some of the news channels like CNN or Fox and I think they use a computer for closed captioning, so it's very interesting to read.

Poor spellcheck will never understand homonyms and idioms nor can it correct mixed metaphors.
