Make sure your picture is in JPG, GIF, BMP, or PNG format. Otherwise, it will be added as a file attachment without being displayed on the page
Make sure the width of the image is not greater than 600 pixels.
Many of the same rules apply to avatars as when uploading a picture to share here :wink: :D:D:D

Also if the site offers different urls to use, choose the url specifically for forums. Ex: the emoticons that some of us have in our signature areas... there are several different urls available, but only the ones marked "forum" will work properly here :D:D:D

When I finally got one of my quilts to work as my avatar, I decided to leave well enough alone! I struck out on a couple before this one worked. I think the files were to big. (O: I like the one you have now.
