I wouldn't know. I never left my child with a sitter. I just couldn't do it, and I was lucky enough not to have to.

I was wondering the same thing. My daughter wants me to babysit her kids every day for approx. 10 hours a day for approx. 4 weeks. I wouldn't usually charge her but she lives about 20 miles from me so the gas money would be a must & she wants to know how much i'd charge her besides that. It's 3 kids under 3....they are very good kids so they aren't a problem, just a loooooooong day hehe

My daughter makes about $5 per kid per hour she is on the cheaper side she babysits more for the service aspect to help the parents they pay her $. Her friends get minimum $10 per hour. She said resonable per hour 6-7 I don't pay my live in babysitters they do it as a loving gesture for my sanity :) If you were closer I would babysit for free!

Guess I should look into babysitting  WOW that is a lot of money ....

My brother for the summer paid the daycare person 1.50 an hour for his 6 year old , she makes it up by having multiple children, well that and she was a family friend

When my adult girls have to go to some ones house it is anywhere from minimun wage to $24. It all depends on what they are expected to do, how long and how many kids. The girls all are CPR registered for kids too. Going rate is about $15 I think. The lower rate is for people they know and tha tcan else not afford a babysitter. So it is partially a ministry.

Ar you talking babysitter or daycare? There is typically a difference. A "babysitter" usually charges by the hour, where "daycare" usually is a flat charge. I.e. My babysitter charges 10 an hour, my day care is 57 dollars a day (and that is crazy cheap!)

Here for before school and after school for a 9 year old is $85 a week. 1 day or 5 makes no difference. You have to pay for the "space". I don't need to get a job. I just need to open a daycare.
