Our quilt guild had a quilt show in Chesterfield, Indiana and had a basket full of free goodies. I picked up a small zip bag with M and M candies all different colors of this candy and had this cute saying on the back on the quilt show business card.

    "Quilters Transquillizers"

Yellow: Soothes nerves when you need to buy fabric and the quilt shop is closed.

Blue: Relaxes tense muscles when your fabric stash looks low

Brown: relieves panic attacks when you can't find a place to hide more fabric.

Orange: minimize depression if you spent the fabric allowance before the sale started.

Green: lessens guilty feelings of using grocery money when Orange didn't work

Red: reduces frustration when you can't find the perfect fabric

Warning: Using more than one color at a time is known to cause late night sewing and excessive fabric handling.

It's not unfinished it's half finished.
Asking a quilter to mend is like asking a chef to wash dishes.
Give a quilter an inch and she'll think she's a ruler.
Quilting is always more pressing than housework.
Behind every quilter there's good backing.

    To quilt is to live.
    Quilt until you wilt!
    Itching to be stitching
Put your foot down and QUILT.
    Quilting forever…housework never!
Quilting is my passion ... chocolate comes in a close second.
Behind every quilter is a big pile of fabric.
A messy house is the sign of a happy quilter.
Creative clutter is more blessed than tidy idleness.
Dull women have neat sewing rooms.
Every quilter has a masterpiece inside.
Quilting is a scrap of happiness.
Quilts are like friends, a great source of comfort.
Quilting is like love… do it with abandon.
“There is a very fine line between hobby and mental illness.” – Dave Barry
When life gives you scraps, make a quilt.
A good day is a day spent quilting.
    Any time is stitchin' time.
As ye sew, so shall ye rip.
Count your blessings/ Stitch them one by one.
A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.
    Don't needle the quilter!
    Hug your sewing machine.
So much fabric, so little time.
Warning: this vehicle stops at all fabric shops.
Old quilters never die, they just go batty.
Old quilters never die, they just go to pieces.
The best things in life are quilted.

Good friends are like quilts - they age with you yet never lose their warmth.

A family is a patchwork of love.

In the crazy quilt of life, I'm glad you're in my block of friends.

    Quilters never cut corners.

Our lives are like quilts - bits and pieces, joy and sorrow, stitched with love.

Those who sleep under a quilt, sleep under a blanket of love.

    Quilters know all the angles.

Grandma quilts have love in every stitch.

A bed without a quilt is like a sky without stars.

It's not "feel the fabric" it's "fondle the fabric".

The quilter's art/mends the broken heart.
Without having quilted/I find my growth stilted.
    With an hour's housework comes moaning and groaning all the while;
With a day's quiltwork, always only a smile.
Get saved- read my scripture quilt!
    I've quilted my Christian testimony,
    And hung it on the wall;
    It helps to dispel antimony,
    And so prevents a fall.:)
    and,on a more humorous note:
I've completed my first quilt- now I am a woman!
    (same for a guy--------------------------man!)
    Smile-there is *quilting* after housework.
With enough material, and time,I would (happily)
    turn into "Rip van Quilter".:)
    Quilters are very pieceful people.
Quilters have it all-all pieced together.
    Happy Quilting,y'all!

A Fat Quarter has less calories than a Hot Fudge Sunday
A yard a day keeps the blues away
Blessed are the piecemakers, for they shall quilt forever!
    Creative minds are rarely tidy
Fabricologist Resource Center. Now doesn't that sound more impressive than "fabric stash"?
Enter this sewing room at your own risk
I love quilting and have plenty of material witnesses
In the crazy quilt of life, I am glad that you are in my block of friends
    Itching to be stitching
One quilting project, like one cookie, is never enough
    Pray for pieces!
    Quilters never cut corners
    Will work for FABRIC!
If you stitch fast enough it counts as aerobic exercise!
I got a sewing machine for my husband. Good trade huh?
    Quilters know all the angles
The best kind of sleep neath Heaven above, is under a quilt hand stitched with love.
