Default quilting skit

Hi everyone
I'm looking for a quilting skit to be used for our church mother/daughter banquet. Anyone seen anything that can be helpful? Thanks

Never seen a skit but what comes to mind is the add that F&P ran in their magazine where they cut pieces from their husbands' shirts to put in a quilt.

How about quilt Bingo with some little prizes? I think it was Fons & Porter, Love of Quilting that had a card you could print?

Could you possibly build one around quilt sayings -- these can be pulled u clothes off your thru goggling. Building on the
F&P idea could the people in the skit be dressed in multiple layers of clothes and for various reasons the layers get peeled off to reveal (?????) with the idea that you stay away from quilters in quilt mode as they will take the clothes off your back or worse yet quilt you right into the quilt. Inviting all the others reading this to add to the ridiculousness and you might have a silly little skit. Another possibility might be to have audience participation - naming quilt blocks - finishing sayings. Kids will usually throw themselves into this sort of silliness.

You are asking for a comedy sketch to be done at a show. How about a group ripping fabric into squares mixing them then sewing on an old treadle. Finally showing the finished quilt. Some work to make quilt before show. The whole can be sayings through out of eg take one large and good piece of fabric and rip it into tiny pieces. Etc.

I'm glad someone asked! Our church has a tiny quilting ministry and a tiny drama ministry. What a great idea to bring the quilting ministry to light!

How about going to a second hand store, finding shirts to fit the actors, cutting pieces out of the back, and having them worn as the small quilts made from the shirts are held up. As the quilts are shown, they could do a turn, revealing the danger of being related to quilters? You could write a simple script for each quilt, maker, designer, etc. as if a real quilt show. You could even do the same with a pair of pants as the finale, for a real hilarious ending? Hope this helps you come up with ideas?
