Default quilts a bit different

Last Sunday on "Sunday Morning" (hosted by Jande Pauley now) she talked to a guy that makes quilts. A bit different than we usually see, but shows me that quilts are definitely an expression of the maker.
Did anyone else see it?

I cannot find a video of the actual show, but this is the guy.

I didn't see it but was curious & found this article.

You are right by stating that quilts are an expression of the maker. Ben is to much on the dark side for me but we all have to express ourselves in a way that speaks to us.

Wow! Those are some amazing quilts! What an interesting guy, I like that he's bringing the quilting world into a new arena.

I grew up with a few "hard" looking biker guys in the family, but they were good people who did charity rides and the like - they would have LOVED some of these quilts.

Quilting really is for everybody.

Right. His subject matter isn't to my taste either but I do appreciate the art and talent involved.

Agreed - a tad on the dark side but certainly talented.

I saw it. He did an amazing job. His quilts are a different style than mine but I can appreciate the time and work he puts into them.

Well isn't this what we always say, "Press to the dark side".

As it is not my style, I feel enriched having watched the clips and I feel inspired to find my style
Thanks for sharing,
