    Smile Quilty Pet Names?

I've enjoyed seeing everyone's "zoo" pics and stories in another post.

Now I'm considering naming my next critter with a name that has to do with quilting. The only one that immediately comes to mind is Patches. Any other ideas? I'll soon be getting a cat if that matters, but I think it's always good to have a ready supply of pet names; you never know when you might need one!

Or, how about Ripper. In reference to seam ripper. Makes me think of a feisty male cat.

If you get a cat and dog you could use sunshine & shadow.

How about bear (paw) for a little kitty. I like that too.
Hunter (star) would be great for a kitty.

Snuggles, for the softness of course.

    Minky, for the fabric.

Cuddles, because you want to cuddle with your quilt.

Pearl, just like the sewing machine purrs when you sew.

Diamond, because our quilts are precious.

    Precious, just like above.

My mind is going a hundred miles a minute, but I'll stop here.

Years ago (1982) I had a silver toy poodle named Snuggles. Before the fabric softner came out. Very smart unique little dog.

I had a rabbit named Ripper! Stash would be cute for one of those tuxedo kitties with the black upper lip! I also like Minky and Bobbin. I'll see if I can downsize my pics of my critters so I can post them; not sure how to do that. Thanks for the name ideas!

I have a dilute calico, and Patches was the obvious choice, but too common. She likes the name Stitches.

I have a dog that I named "Feather" because it's my favorite quilting design. I never name my dogs "people" names. There are no other dogs with that name at the vet.

You could name a Cat or a dog Mat after cutting mat or Scraps. I named a dog Rags once. You could name the cat swirls or feathers. Or FussyCat instead of fussy cut

My first thought was "Rotary". It might fit an active kitten! I have an office colleague with a cat named "Scrappy". A cat will always consider itself the "Ruler". I suspect you will have more naming choices than you will need. What a fun thread!

I like stitch years ago Disney had a movie call lilo and stitch but don't remember what kind of animals they were, and many years ago I had a beautiful calico cat that just appeared in my back yard and wouldn't leave so I took her in had her spaded, named her pansy because at the top of her head she had markings that look exactly like a pansy.
