I received over 6 1/2" of rain in my area southwest of DFW.
That's a guestimate as my rain gauge was full to the brim and the float was as high as it would go. Loved seeing every drop of it. Maybe the rain has killed off all the grasshoppers who have kept so much of my green plants stripped this summer. The hoppers have been eating things thet weren't suppose to bother.

But I am happy for those of you who really need and want it.

We were vendors at a Quilt Show in Northern Texas this past Saturday, and had to breakdown and load up in the rain. Then, we had to wait until Sunday afternoon for the rain to quit so we could unload and stow.
The show was heavily attended, and I didn’t hear one complaint about the rain. Actually, it was kind of nice to see the umbrellas stacked in the entryway for a change!
