Retiring !
#24
Don't be surprise, but you may not have as much time for quilting as you think. I thought the same thing, all the fun stuff I will have time to do. Well, I don't see where I found time to work, I am so busy doing everything including quilting that I am sooooo, busy. At times, I think going to work has more time to rest. Enjoy and do what you want, just do what you want to do and ENJOY ENJOY

You've got that right!!! I love being able to sew without interruption. I have a pile of quilts for homeless families in my living room that is at least 22 quilts high, and I finish more all the time. It is so nice, after all those stressful and busy years of working, to be able to sew whenever I want to! I am also glad I got most of my supplies and fabric when I was working and had the money.

I retired at age 48. I was fully vested and had a pension so did I want to keep working just to pay higher taxes or stay home and do what I wanted? I gave my two week notice on Monday and never went back on Tuesday. I told DH I retired he said I just quit. LOL I am busier now then when I was working and so much happier. Won't be long I can apply for SS and that will go into my quilting budget!
