I have painted the largest of my upstairs bedrooms a rich red on one wall and the other three are antique white. I found some lovely fabrics for a quilt that I am going to make to use on my antique Jenny Lind spool bed that is in that room. However, I can't make the quilt yet because I am going to have a new mattress and spring set made to fit the bed perfectly. I am thrilled with the way the walls turned out. What do you think about the colors? I will post more pictures of the room as I get it put together.

Red fabric on left, red paint on right. They used the fabric to blend the paint. Egg shell finish has a little sheen.

Antique white on left. Specially blended red on right. There is a slight glare on the white wall from the flash.

I love red and white. I have always had a red/white guest room using my most favorite red/white toile fabric for everything. Your room will be gorgeous.

With those colors and a Jenny Lind bed are you thinking a period quilt? Burgoyne Surrounded in red & cream? Or something contemporary and hot? Can't wait to see what you do.

Will be really interesting to see the completed room! The red seems to be a perfect match.
