Feel better Mollie Mae! I know how bad I'd feel if it was my Maggie!

I am sorry to hear about your fur baby. My avatar is my beloved Jonah. He has been epileptic for 7 years now and is doing very well. He is on medication that has taken it's toll on him, but he greats every day with a joy that is remarkable. Jonah has had 2 times in the doggy ICU, it is expensive but he bounced back well. I hope your little one does well. Hugs from Jonah and my other 2 Goldens, Sam and Anna.

So sorry for you both, but on the bright side I have known several dogs that lived with this. Once established on meds they don't seem to have much trouble. One of the dogs I knew was a St. Bernard. He would go to the fiberglass shower when he knew he was going to have a seizure. The family laughs about how much noise he made. you will laugh again too. Hang in there.

Awww! What a sweet face. I have a 23 year old cat. She still gets around well, but THAT day will be a rough one, after all these years. Im hopefull she will just go to sleep and not get sick or have to be put down.

Molly Mae is out of the hospital now.....but had another seizure during the night. Our regular vet didn't have the same opinion as the emergency vet about starting her on meds because she is so young and the damage that the meds can do to her liver. So right now we are in a watch and wait mode with some meds on hand in case of an emergency.

She's beautiful. I know of several animals on meds and they do fine. I'm taking care of a cat for my SIL right now that's 19 and on meds. She's doing fine.
