That's not a bad idea...a quilt for Greyson. I'll have to start looking for a dog bone design material. Or maybe a material with duck or pheasant design.
This would be perfect   http://www.fabric.com/ProductDetail....7-a3609e586865

Here's a quilt block that makes a good dog bone. And it's very easy to make.

That's a good pattern and it does look like a bone. Plus, I need easy patterns. Wonder if I could put a block of different colors in between the bone block to make it stand out more as a bone?

OMG! WE have bears where I live also so I know how scary this can be. They are both lucky to be alive. I am so sorry for Grayson, what a brave friend he is.

Here in WA state it's the time they show up and are hungry. There have been a number of sightings and they've been able to capture them to relocate them. One poor young one that was spotted ventured out onto I-5 and unfortunately was killed. I do hope the dog survives this and that it doesn't happen again anywhere! The story about the 2-year-old in the tent is scary! Guess we'd all better be on our toes if we live in an area where wildlife shows up!

I live in SW PA and we have had so many bears observed since April. The two grade schools nearby sent home letters that a bear had been observed and they were keeping a close watch on the children when they took them out for recess. The Pittsburgh news in the past couple days has been reporting people seeing bears in a couple outer towns. A pastor I know was going to "check" it out after he saw one in his backyard and then got on his ATV to find it.

I think that would look great. And maybe add Bear's Paw blocks on the corners.

This could have had a terrible ending for all involved. Someone was watching over them. I'm glad he will be alright.
