I woke to some fog this morning. Looked out at the hammock and saw THIS! That long ropy thing is a spiderweb!!! I do NOT want to see that spider!!! BTW - it goes from the hammock CLEAR up in the tree. I couldn't get a picture that far up because of the sun...but I CAN say, this is only about 1/3 of the web!!!

Ewwwwwwe! I don't like spiders but I would want to see the size of that sucker. Had one make a web half that size and the spider was atleast an inch and a half wide if not bigger. The web went from the tree to the ground just like in the pic.

oh my, did you leave it so you can see the spider, it will come back after dark, I had a spider web in the bathroom window one year and at night I will stand and watch it, was fun

also one at the kitchen window. it was fascinating to watch them, the spider would take down the spider web and rebuild it daily,

I had one of these orb spiders visit me last year. Every night she would rebuild her web. I enjoyed watching! She didn't want me--just my bugs! Hope you can see the creature that built your web!! That's impressive!

Probably a European cross spider. We have them here in WA as well. They eat mosquitos so I love them! The web probably just looked bigger because of the dew stuck to it. All the babies are getting mature now, so expect to see more.

I would have had an accident in my pants. That would be a nightmare for me. I would have had my DH grab the pressure washer and spray everything down for 1/2 mile! The web may be gone the spider isn't!!!

OK Now I will have nightmares of that web attachment. OMG this has to be in africa on some great mountain in the movies on sci-fi. Yuck. I hate spiders. I don't want to see the one that belongs to that web. Run for the hills and call the exterminator. Shivvers......

What state do you live in? Want to be sure I have spider spray, a huge can, if I ever am in your neighborhood. Have you seen the spider yet?
