Mix all together (just cake mix - no eggs or oil) pour into muffin tin - Bake 350 for 30 minutes.

3 WW points (only 1 for the mini) - includes power food in the pumpkin.

I am told they freeze and defrost well. So I will be trying that.

**My store only had a 30 oz can of pumpkin - so I made one with carrot and one with a chocolate cake mix.
Using this same type recipe...if you use a spice cake mix and yellow cake mix with the 30 oz can of pumpkin (or two 15 oz cans) then add a bit more cinnamon and nutmeg and make cookies out of it. They are incredible! They have such a wonderful pumpkin flavor and the spices are PERFECT!! I make those all year round and LOVE it. It makes the most wonderful fall aromas in your house.

    Anyway...thanks for posting this!!

Yay, Katvert. You'll have another good week now. Nothing succeeds like success!

I went out and helped hang quilts. I need to eat before I walk the furgirls - it made me hungry. Not very many quilts, but some very nice ones. It's a good thing nightshades don't bother my arthritis because my tomatoes are ripening faster than I can eat them. Some wildlife is eating my zucchini. Pumpkin muffins sound good. I like dried cranberries and walnuts in mine.

Xylie, I found a juicer at a thrift store. I have carrots and need to get some other veggies and apples. Carrot, apple and celery is good. When my son was stationed in Yuma, I had trouble finding decent apples. I wish you better luck.
Ya,I got a juicer too,but it's in Kansas,so will have to look for one.Their not that high for a new el-cheapo one.And hubby likes Johnathans and only one place here gets them and their Johnagolds,so better than nothing.I'm spoilt,I was raised in Oregon in Apple=-land.Milton-Freewater out of Walla-Walla,Washington.So ya,these do suck down here, but at least they have some.Any tips on the greens?Like Kale? Some said to take the veins out as it goes in easier and is not as tough.I never had a smoothy in my life.I know they will taste good.Grandma always was a health nut and when we were little she'd give us carrot juice.Ya,that resistance training does work.Too bad you tore your shoulder tho.Your dogs are beautiful tho.and I don't blame you for going to the woods,I'd be there right with you.I love the forests.Sounds that you just don't here in the valley parts.growing up with a logger family,no-body ever did see a big-foot.Guess they were shy!..........

Congratulations Missy!! I LOVE that picture!

For your cookie recipe, do you use 2 cups of water or do you use less since it is for cookies instead of cake/muffins?

Here's a gluten-free cornbread recipe that came from Laurel's Kitchen.

Dry - 1 tsp salt, 1 tsp baking powder, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 2-1/2 C cornmeal

Wet - 1-2 Tbsp honey, 1-2 large eggs, beaten, 1-2 Tbsp oil, 2 C buttermilk

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Grease an 8"x8" pan or muffin pan or 9" cast iron frying pan.

Sift the salt, baking powder and soda together & combine with the cornmeal.

Mix wet ingredients together, then add the dry, stirring just until smooth.

Pour into the greased pan. Bake bet. 15-25 min (for muffin pan), 20 min for cast iron frying pan.

If you use 2 eggs, cut back a little on the buttermilk to about 1.5 C.

This is so good. Not crumbly or gooey. No gluten and no refined flours.

Missy, that sounds wonderful. The casinos know how to treat guests.

Pam, no water. Be sure to spray the pan well. I've never tried without eggs and melted butter.

Xylie, the shoulder separation and subsequent frozen shoulder was over 6 years ago. Those dogs are both gone. The shoulder is almost no problem now. Almost complete mobility with limited pain.

2 1/2 miles closer to GR and visiting my grandson's tea shop. Woohoo. MJ, you're killing me. I added a half mile tonight. I was very warm by the time I finished.

Off to bed. I have to be at the quilt show early. 'Night.

hey, xylie! i wish we could meet in person! i'm just in awe of all the things you can do and fix. i can change lightbulbs. i had a guy friend who told me in the mid 1970's that i was the most 'conveniently liberated' woman he'd ever met. i took it as a compliment. i wouldn't change the hall light 'cause it was too high up and i don't like standing on things. but i made him a headboard with power tools and that blew his mind, totally. i took liberation to mean a woman could do anything, and not that she had to. so the things i didn't like to do, i didn't do. he was young, over 6' tall and had that upper body strength that makes a lot of household repairs easy, so it would have been stupid not to ask him to do them. 8). i made dinner a couple of times a week and that was the trade off, we weren't dating, he was a close neighbor. those were very fun days. when i think of myself and picture me, i'm that 24 yr old woman/girl, not 60 something with gray hair. i was surprised when my mother (at 80) said she saw herself as 32. does anyone else see themselves in their mind as someone much younger? or maybe older?

Missy that is a beautiful picture! God Bless you and Cathie. Don't get to wild in the casinos - we may never hear from you guys again. Then on the other hand if you make tons of money remember your friends on this thread!

When I weighed in yesterday I gained 1 1/2 lbs. not what I wanted to see. I'm having a horrible time finding a food plan that is geared for weight loss and also works with the hypoglycemia. Does anyone know of a good web site that might have good recipes for both? Oh I'm going to share something that I don't often share. I have no teeth none - not fake or real, so most meats are out because I can't chew them. Most raw veggies are out also because I can't chew them.

Xylie, when you get some recipes for smoothy in a regular blender please pass them on. I don't have a juicer or food processor just a plain blender,

DH and I are going to Quilt Expo in Madison today. We weren't going to go because we have so many UFO's but decided that we would go and just look and maybe skip the vender area LOL.

Everyone have a wonderful day! God Bless.

Good morning all. I have enjoyed my week of relaxation and peace and quiet with mom and dad being out of town. They are back today.

I have a big suprise for them. With mom having a broken arm, she is not able to do much around the house. Well I had a friend come over and help me do some cleaning and re-organizing her sewing room. We rearranged the set up gave it a better flow. I need to take a picture and will post it later today.

After we finished the sewing room, she attacked the kitchen and dining room. I only wanted my friend to help me in the sewing room, she is one who can't walk away from any kind of mess. I am so grateful for her as I couldn't have done all that she did for me.

I finished the toddler quilt I started on Wednesday, no to layer and quilt. Also have 2 others that I need to layer and quilt. So that is the plan for today.
