sewing machine question

I have the Brother CS6000i and like it :lol: Comes with extras, the walking foot and other feet. has the needle down option and 60 built in stitches

I'd probably get her one of the machines in the Janome Jem line. They are 3/4 size machines but work well and are highly portable. Many of the ladies buy them to take to quilting classes. Here is a link to one, but there are others in the line:

You know, after looking at the description, I'm not sure this machine has adjustable stitch width and stitch length. Those are really important features, IMO. Be sure you research this before taking my advice!
