the funny thing was, the redwork showed a girl holding 3 cats. We now have 3 cats!!! a mamma cat who came to live in our back yard and her two girls. they are inside cats now!
Make a quilt to remember your pet by, it does help.
That's a great quilt ntexan! I have plans too, but mine will take a while to complete, but that's ok. It's for me to get out all the hurts and angst and then I'll have the comforting hugs of my Bitsy girl in 'essence' once again, till that day.

You saw your sweetie through to adulthood. I let my Melvin go, four years ago and can still tear up. I am so happy knowing that it's just patience now...what a furry, feathery, etc. greeting we shall all get :-D
It helps me to see Melvin and Bitsy running and playing knowing that is the way it really is. hugs to you 7, and to anyone that has lost a loved pet.

My condolences for the loss of your pet. It's extremely difficult, as I only know too well. My house was never cleaner after I had mine put down.

I am so sorry you lost your pet. I have lost several over the years and it never gets any easier.

I want to thank each and every one of you for your kind words to me and about my Dear Boots. I know time heals all wounds and it'll definitely take me some time. I do have comfort in knowing that he's in a better place and with all your creatures. The next hardest thing for me to do will be picking him up in his urn! I do like the suggestion of making a memory quilt of him, what a great idea! Thank you, thank you, thank you for all the support!!

I am so very sorry to hear of your loss and am sending you hugs. It's good to know that your quilting can ease the pain if only a little. I had one of my little baby rescue kittens that DS found die in my hand. She was only with me for 9 days and only weighed 4 1/2 ozs. but she knew she was loved and wanted, not laying under a bush all alone. God bless. May your pain ease with time and all those good memories be a comfort to you. Hugs, hugs, hugs.

Hugs to you and I'm so sorry for your loss. It's difficult to let go but it is the last loving thing we can do for one of our furbabies. It does get eaier but just ask me about my baby who I had put to sleep almost 10 yrs ago and I still cry over him. He was my angel on 4 legs and I know he waits for me at Rainbow Bridge.
