Well, I have Italian Greyhounds. Not the rocket scientists of the dog world. Good thing they're pretty. And a mini Dachshund that could probably take over the world, if only she had opposable thumbs and could speak.

I think dogs are smarter, as a rule. But cats always seem to get what they want.

Funny!!!

Dogs are smarter, but cats might be tougher.

I KNOW my cats are tougher. They are barn cats, brought up a full grown rabbit over the weekend. With they would stick to the mice in the barns.

As for the dogs, well I have a couple of Chihuahuas, EVERYONE knows they are annoying! Then I have Puma, the Wonder Dog! Too smart. She is 1/2 Australian shepard and 1/2 blue heeler, she goes to the field and brings up the horses for us, very pretty, very eager to please, a joy, all around.

Well, in our house the cats are smarter, but in these pictures, maybe the dog wins.

Our cats have always been much smarter than our dogs. But the dogs worship us, so that makes up for it. The cats sort of think we are here to worship them.

Disclaimer: My Rudy is NOT the cat in the photo!

Having had both dogs and cats, I'd have to say they are both intelligent but in different ways.
