Every state in the US had snow on the ground yesterday, except for Hawaii, according to this: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100213/...states_of_snow
Of course, that doesn't mean there's snow in every place in every state.

I also survived the blizzard of "78 in Mass. I sewed by turning the wheel of my machine by hand to finish the bridesmaid dress I was working on. It saved my sanity!!
My kids thought I was silly but daughter loved the dress.

Hi,
I remember the blizzard of 1978! Wow that brings back memories! Yes, had snow tunnels on the road. My hubby was on the volunteer fire department at that time and he had a 4 x 4 truck and some guy died and they had to go pick up his body in the back of our truck since it had a topper on it.

snow "tunnels" on the roads - when they finally got some roads open - DH was stuck in the factory, then my sister's for four days - I was home with three kids - (this was in Ft. Wayne area)
so far we have about 4 inches and it is really tapered off - just a few lazy flakes coming down now and it's starting to melt - it's 38 degrees! it is sposed to freeze tonite....
the elec has been off once already...
