We probably will head south after the election.

I figure that we are "at risk" just by living on Planet Earth.

However, we still will try to do the social distancing, etc.

Some Canadian snowbirds are in a bit of a pickle. They use their mobile homes here in the summer and head south for the winter. They don’t own permanent residents and most mobile homes are not built for Canadian winters. Full service mobile parks are filling fast.

WE are not snowbirds. I do not like warm or hot weather. It can get too hot for us here in the summer.
We will stay home. We always do.

I'll probably never be a snowbird. I love cold weather! It's so refreshing. I'm grateful for AC b/c our summers are hot!

We will be heading to Arizona some time after Christmas. We generally stay mostly in the desert in our RV, not in a resort, so no reservations to contend with. We usually head into a campground or resort a few times a winter, just for variety. With the Canadians almost surely being stuck at home, there should be lots of places open. I feel very sorry for the snowbirds stuck the other side of the border, but if I lived there I would be spooked by the COVID numbers here too! Oh, and my sewing machine, some projects, and even my Accuquilt cutter and a number of dies come with me!

I feel badly for Canadians who cannot cross the border. Maybe the restriction will be lifted before the end of the year.
We go to Gulf Shores, AL....the condo we rent is ok, but buikding and grounds are requiring some TLC. Amazing how devastating water can be.

We own a condo in Fl and usually go there twice a year, with the idea that, when we retire, we will be snowbirds. We have chosen to stay in NH since Covid began. Our house in NH is large and in a very rural setting, so this is the best place to be right now. Also, the amenities at our condo in Fl are either closed or very restricted, as they should be during this time. And the behavior of people flocking to beaches is so very questionable. We usually go to a huge international plastics convention in Orlando every 4 years, and it is supposed to be held this year in May. My husband in a plastics process engineer and he had been looking forward to us going, with the idea that we could spend several months at the condo afterwards, and maybe head to Miami, Key West and the West Coast, but I'm just not sure I want to take the risk, for obvious reasons. Besides, if we were nervous that our health was being compromised by going to restaurants and attractions, etc., I don't think we would go, and what would be the fun in that? And BTW, neither of us trust that the numbers we are seeing are accurate. And yeah, you only live once, but I hope to remain healthy until this is over.
