Back in the late 1980s a very dear friend crocheted me 50 snowflakes like these as well as 50 angels, 50 fans and 50 hats (tree decorations) before she lost her struggle with MS and lung cancer. Whenever I hang up her crocheted gifts I feel like Nancy is right along side me, smiling.

These are pretty. My late mother use to make these and make snowmobiles. Thanks for sharing:o)

This is a book i have had for some time and this year due to many reasons I decided to make for my tree I used a D hook and 3 and 5 sized thread. The book recomends a finer thread and a stainless steel hook, however, I was pleased with the results as I am really new to using the finer threads and smaller hook sizes.
You must have the same book I have. You did a great job. I recognize all the patterns. I crocheted mine in the smaller thread. I think you will like the finer thread too.
