I love to use a clothes line but we can't have them where we live. I would love to be able to recycle cans, plastic and paper products but we live in an apartment so there is no place to keep them. Stuff that is still good that I don't want goes to the thrift shop.

I'm really conscious of recycling. My kids really raised my awareness. I've always been pretty frugal in many ways. My sister laughs at me but she's kind of the opposite so I make fun of her too :D

The zoning inspector said it was deemed unsightly and a danger. It takes away from property values. The commissioners just didn't have enough to do, I guess.

Here in Uk,we are lucky that seniors get a free bus pass, so I only use my car when neccessary, I have a compost bin, and we also have a green bin provided to put all our garden waste in which is picked up every two weeks and recycled. We also have another bin wich we put paper. cans. and bottles into which is also picked up every two weeks to be recycled. I only use my dryer when needs must, i love my clothes dried outdoors. The one thing I will not cut back on is my heating in the winter

We recycle everything here! I walk in the country and pick up aluminum cans along the way. People also save me there cans, andwhen I worked in the bar, I always saved the cans there, too!
We have clothes lines outside and in the basement for when its cold. I do use a dryer once
in a while though!
We grow alot of our own produce, huge garden, berry bushes and rhubarb. We are surrounded by woods, where I find wild plums, nuts and berries too........freeze alot. The boys hunt, so we always have venison, so dont need to drive to the store as much.
I WISH I didnt have to drive so much, but we live out in the Boonies, and nothing is near. I try to combine errandswhen I have to go to work!
