"Let's go get a coke." etc Then when you get there, you ask, "What kind of coke do you want?" I love it. lol

We always referred to it as 'POP'. We moved here to NC and they called it 'drinks'. Can you imagine, the home of Pepsi and the pride of the Carolinas and all they can say is 'DRINKS'. I still call it pop or soda pop. North Carolina is also the home of Cheerwine! Krispy Kreme Donuts OH sorry, bye.

My Dad , god rest his soul. When we were young also called it Pop. My Mom ,she too has passed, called it Soda Pop. Dad was from Missouri, and Mom Il, as well as myself and my deceased bros. Mom did not learn to drive till she was in her 40's, so Dad took her to do the big grocery shopping, and would stop for the extras on his way home after work. Often Dad would ask are we out of Pop. Want some Pop? Pop, pop, pop. Mom gave him a POP. We roflao.

Orignally places that sold where teens hung out years ago, were called soda fountains or soda shops.. And the people selling were called soda jerks! And the soda was on tap like beer is today. That was what mom and dad told me anyway.

It is now off my list permanently, and actually I prefer natural ingredients. So kool-aid is back on my list, yes, tho it uses real sugar. It does not seem to elevate my blood sugar. Even diet soda does this to me, and I don't like their chemical sugar substitutes any way. Now I will look into that food grade hydogen peroxide and see if their are any benefits to taking this evryday, maybe I can clear up, and prevent some of my sinus infections I get from allergies atleast. I do feel better today thank you !! My meds got my levels down.

Now my hubby informed me that there is a food grade hydroperoxide (not sure I spelled right) that you can ingest. I am going to check this out. The couple who told him about it claim they have not had colds, flu and cleared up several health problems since they started taking every day. Supposedly it kills off bad bacteria and stuff in your body and keeps you from getting sick. I asked him to get specifics on how they take so I can do some research on this.
