This is such a great story! Not only were you willing and able to help your daughter's friend, they obviously appreciate it too. And I am sure that you would have done it without expectations. When we give without expecting anything in return, often we are blessed.

What a nice way of showing appreciation! Too often people do not show any thanks for your efforts on their behalf.

I think it's wonderful of you to do the good deed, without thought of recompense. Even more wonderful that the recipient appreciated your deed so very much. I try, and hope we all can, to do all my good deeds as if that were the response every time. What I mean is, when I do something nice, in my heart I feel as if I already have the wonderful gift basket and appreciation. So I guess I am rewarding myself, LOL, rather than wanting or expecting a reward later. Instant gratification!!!
I love the PIF concept, but whether it's payed forward or back, let's all keep the good things flowing! Hugs and smiles

It is a pleasure to read that your daughter's friend was generous. I think it was because you deserved it.
