Default Sometimes (not very often) I amaze myself

I don't often "think out of the box" but today I had a light bulb moment & decided to try something new. I made a batch of brownies to take to a friends house this evening & wanted to do something different to the top since I didn't have any whipped topping or anything to go with them. They looked a little "bare" on top so I had a brainstorm on how to use powdered sugar & this is what I came up with. I had a quilting stencil & laid it on top of the brownies, sprinkled generously with powdered sugar & then gently removed the stencil to made this great design on top. I'm loving this & now I don't want to take them & eat them...just want to admire my masterpiece.

Thank you for the idea!

It really dresses up those brownies - and does not add a thousand calories, either.

Great idea! Wonderful idea for cakes, also. That's so much easier than a frosting and it really looks like you are an artist!

Aaaahhh! That's awesome! My grandmother was a great believer in 'topping' things decoratively/with powdered sugar. She used to do this with those paper doilies (the intricate ones that are lacey?)...I Love this idea!
