Default Stainless Steel garden hose

Does anyone have experience with stainless steel garden hoses? I am tired of the usual kind of hose getting kinked and, over time, developing holes. I see that Better Homes & Gardens has a SS hose featured in its July issue, so it got me thinking.

Any comments from actual experience, especially over a number of years, would be appreciated.

Amazon is a great place to get product reviews. I don't know what hose you saw in the magazine, but this stainless steel hose has over 700 reviews on Amazon, (4 out of 5 stars overall).

This SS hose on Amazon also gets good reviews:

This one is not SS, but it does not kink and is light in weight. I sent it to my mil when she needed a better quality hose.

My son just purchased one and I love it! It curls up nicely for storage and no kinks!

I have 3 50 ft lengths of these hoses and love them. They are so lightweight and easy to unroll and roll up on the holder.

We have one and I love it. We got it because our lawn service isn't overly careful sometimes and hoses get nipped when they are trimming. This hose will withstand it. It is also very light weight and coils up nicely when stored. We've only had it for about 6 months so I can't say how it will hold up but only the most durable hold up in the Florida heat and sun.

We have had one for over a year.I didn't think I would like it because we had the pocket hose before.I liked it because it was light and easy to recoil BUT they got costly because they got holes in them and we had to keep buying new ones. The steel is alittle hard to get used to but all in all I think I it is a good hose.
