It didn't capture the picture, but I am born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, and I have NEVER seen canned raspberries ... in heavy syrup with a brand name of Oregon? Whatever is that all about?
Yes, you can also get blackberry, strawberry and I think cherry, too. The strawberry is awful...the little seeds are really pronounced in them :?

edit...and the strawberries are really tiny, too

Gotchya! makes perfect sense to me ... I was more curious about Oregon brand, I was thinking ... some bisquick in a pan, cooked with the raspberries on time, and viola! raspberry cobbler, and you would never know it had been mush <g>

we just went to costco on Friday and I found quarts of raspberry jam and strawberry ... but the boysenberry is not good at all ... <shrug> I am not the one eating the pnb sandwiches, but he seems to like the strawberry. Passed on the boysenberry, and we shall see about raspberry.
Wouldn't your canned raspberry mush be like jelly?

I have a jar of Buffaloberry Jam. It's YUMMY!
I bought it when oldest lived in South Dakota.
No clue what the berries look like, but according to the lady that made the jam, once you find the bushes, you keep it a secret.

I think the indians up on the colville have a similar berry ... want to say "huckleberry", but not sure ... pretty cool, going out through the National Forests and finding cultivated berry fields, while they tell us that the indians are the sacred keepers of all things endangered. (since i am indian, I could prove that was wrong, but sure makes for a good story, eh? LOL)
