Honey, the only thing that grows in Houston is mold. And azaleas in the spring time. We don't have raspberries, or really any kind of berries that I know of. No lilacs. No lily of the valley. No forsythia. No maples. No autumn colors. Well some very muted colors only. No blue spruce (which I absolutely adore). No sweet corn.

The temperature only hit freezing twice in the middle of the night this last winter. If you don't get your tomato plants started absolutely no later than the beginning of April, it is too warm at night to set the fruit on the blossoms. And usually you can put them out in February.

Can you tell I hate Houston! I want 4 seasons. I WANT RASPBERRIES! AND SWEET CORN!

Yep, still awake! lol

That does look like a yummy recipe Amma. Do you think there's any reason you couldn't use another kind of berry in it?

Gai....I'm thinking you need to move!
You could move to Ohio with Kay and be her personal Mare Stare person. I'm sure she could find you a nice comfy stall with all the conveniences you would need!
Then, you could have ALL the things you wanted.

Yeah! Actually I was going to move to Ohio, but then life happened! Right now my whole family is here. And mom hasn't been in the best of health. She doesn't have the best heart. And she just told me tonight "Well, I thought I was having a heart attack last night, but I used some nitroglycerin and it went away at first, then it didn't work any more. I almost called you. But it eventually stopped. Oh, when I went outside today, I noticed that I got really short of breath, more than normal". It's enough to make me want to tear my hair out!!!

And quite frankly, when I look around this house and think of packing and moving, I chicken out! LOL
