Thats a new one on me. My avatar cat does chirp at me whenever I say his name. It is cute.

Mine get freaked out by the smoke alarm.......... but if there is a bird outside their window......Molly and/or Heidi will sit transfixed watching and.......chattering their teeth together real fast-----makes a very funny noise!!!

My cat talks to the birds too- so cute!

My cat hops into the window when I come home. When I say 'hi' to him, he responds. He'll do this 2 or 3 times and then stop, especially if I stop walking toward the door. My previous cats chirped at the birds.
