Am I the only one who has a cat that cherps back at the smoke detector when the batteries are in need of changing?

Mine get freaked out by the smoke alarm.......... but if there is a bird outside their window......Molly and/or Heidi will sit transfixed watching and.......chattering their teeth together real fast-----makes a very funny noise!!!

My cat hops into the window when I come home. When I say 'hi' to him, he responds. He'll do this 2 or 3 times and then stop, especially if I stop walking toward the door. My previous cats chirped at the birds.
