I'm finishing canning red beets from my co-worker's garden. Tomorrow after work, I'm going over to pick green beans and then freeze them. We can't have a garden in our housing addition, so my friend is nice enough to offer me some of her garden bounty.

I've been picking blueberries, blackberries, and tomatoes for the last week. The cayene peppers are looking good too. Will start picking them soon. I have a large yard, but there's a virus in the soil that kills my plants. I can't see throwing good money after bad again this year. My youngest DD eats the tomatoes straight off the vine.I'm container gardening on the deck this year.

I didn't plant a garden this year. My kids say I have a brown thumb. I just can't grow thing. I go to the farmers markets. Sigh.
