Sweet Dreams Pillowcase
#12
Rice bags are something I have been making for my grandchildren to keep them warm in bed at night. I make a bag and fill them up with uncooked rice before closing the opening in the bag. You heat them up in the microwave (time varies as to how hot you want them to get), for about 2 minutes. They hold the heat for quite a while... definitely long enough to fall asleep. We use them in our home a lot. My grandhildren each have two that they request to have heated every night before hopping in the sack. The ones I make are quite simple.
You can make them fancy or simple: https://www.pinterest.com/motherruth/rice-bags/ They make wonderful. simple gifts. Merry Christmas.

I just heard from my DGD last night. She LOVES it!
Funny thing though, she thought it was a blanket to match her rice bags. When I explained it was a pillowcase she said ( in her cutest little 6 year old voice): "I did NOT know that".
