I've been transplanted from Texas to western Oregon.... It's just been so hot here for the past week - way up almost to 80 degrees!

Cools down to the 50's at night...

Ya'll try and stay cool down there.... Just stay down at the lake, but don't forget the bug spray! Those mosquitos might carry you skinny ones off somewhere..... but please, please save some of that catfish and hush puppies for me!

Moved from Oregon to Texas in 1980. For anyone that does not know, that was the last great heat wave. When we left Oregon it was 67 degrees. When we got to Texas it was 114. Welcome to Hell. I think we might be finally breaking a few of those records, maybe. LOL

Oh so funny, I was laughing so hard that I was crying. People over here thinks its hot in the 90's, which it is but not as hot as Texas.

I remember 1980. To get away from the heat for a few days, we drove up and visited friends in NW Iowa. The day we came home, it was in the 40s in Iowa, but when we got back to Texas it was 105! I think this year is a lot worse, though, mainly because it's so dry along with the heat.

But I'm still Texas born and bred, and wouldn't live anywhere else in the world!

I am laughing at the stories too. Hamilton is only an hour from me so he is hot there too. LOL.

We have already broken so many daily records it's not funny.

I'm waiting to see corn popping when we drive down the road past the farms. LOL.
