I love this! We wear uniforms at work, once I saw a fellow officer out of work, grocery store maybe, I said, "oh, I almost didn't recognize you with clothes on", meaning street clothes, well, you understand............. his wife was a good sport, though.

While waiting to be seated in a restuarant, I saw a man who looked familiar, but couldn't remember the name. I greeted him with "Bob? Aren't you the father of one of my children?". He recoiled and retorted "My name is NOT Bob and I am most certainly not the father of one of your children". The woman who was with him looked at him questioningly, he grabbed her arm and stormed off before I could explain that I facilated "Getting to Know You" classes at a local SPCA and had groups of "regular" children.

My cube was in a small room with several others and we could hear everything being said.....co worker was talking to a general contractor regarding a shipment that was being sent to him and her comment was "well, I don't know how big your package is but I suspect it is small".....I stood up looked around and the rest of us were in stitches....she didn't realize what she had said !

I used to be a member of a very international R&D group at a local electronics company. I did most of the SEM (scanning electron microscope) work for the group and often had to prepare cross sections of the material we were growing by cleaving the samples along one of their crystal planes.

Well, at one meeting, one of my French co-workers was presenting data related to some samples I had examined for him. He opened his presentation by stating "I have seen Jan's cleavage"

Ok, now that I have pulled myself off the floor and back up onto my chair and wiped my eyes, I can responde by saying that yes I do this sort of thing all the time but I'm laughing so hard at you all that I can't think of a single thing I have said. Just wait, it will come to me.
