... but when you're backing out of the driveway and out of the car window you see a cloud of pink and then purple, it's hard not to be impressed.

I have a bunch of phlox too... just not along the driveway!
These are just asters. The pink flew in from the back yard, blown from a plant that I had purchased. The purple is the native wild New England Aster.
Now the two have hybridized and I have several shades that are in between!
