For Those Preparing for Irene
#1
Hi Friends!
My DH & I live in SE FL and have dealt with several hurricanes. This morning we were talking about Irene and DH reminded me of one more tip to help protect your belongings.
It seems that when homes are destroyed in hurricanes the pictures I’ve seen still show the dishwasher, washer and dryer intact. You can place valuables that are breakable in your dishwasher, washer and dryer. (i.e., anything breakable, heirloom pieces, sentimental breakables.) We've done this for the hurricanes that hit us.
Please know that all of you are in my thoughts and prayers. Be safe! (((((HUGS)))))

You can also wrap them in kitchen towels for added protection.

Scrap Happy.... did you get lots of the hurricane last night? I watched it for hours and it looked scarey enough for me not to live on the coast. LOL. Hope everyone effected by the storm is fine today and no damages or floods.
