I must be the rebel as I use SOS when I have something cooked on hard. But I don't rub really hard. I also use Majic Erasors. Vim the white type also works good. I never buy that ceramic cleaner as I think it is useless.

It took me a while to figure out what works best on my ceramic stovetop.Keeping the bottom of my pans clean & grease free helps.I use same pans I've had for yrs.
After cooking,I dribble a bit of warm water on top of any stain, while it's warm, with a sprinkle of baking soda on top of the water.
After eating, use a damp cloth or paper towel to wipe it off.Works for me.

I have one, and I would never go back. I use Weiman Glass Cook Top heavy duty cleaner and polish. The great thing about this cleaner, is first of all it does wonders, but it also seems to protect the stove for getting those stuck on things. It seems after using it, everything just wipes off with a sponge. I purchase this at Wal Mart so its easy to find too. I have seen it at the grocery stores too.

I lost my previous thread, so here goes again. I use Soft Scrub or Bar Keeper's friend and a single razor blade. I also use a soft sanding block to scrub the surface; it does not scratch. I will never go back to a coil top again. I love my ceramic top. That said, I do not use my pressure canner on it but I do use my hot water bath canner without trouble.

I have had glass top stoves & loved them. However, we did have a fire with a glass top. Husband at that time put a pan of oil on to make french fries and had it on high heat and then went to bathroom, the greese exploded and cought fire. Be careful with greese.

Wet your top with water before you use your scraper on it.

I have glass top - is that the same? I use dawn and a sponge and it works great. If I get burnt on stuff I use a razor blade and scape it off. I have had mine for years and it looks like new.
