Anyway my son took the house out of the truck and 3 cats were in it in less than 2 min. The cost? $15. Could not buy the wood for that. It is going on the screened porch the cats have access to when they are thru roaming the barn and yard. Take care.

What a great idea for re-purposeing! Goes to show you have imagination to spare!

I also love thrift stores. I go in to see if I can find any batting (I use the batting for qayg, so even if the part of the batting has been used, I can still use it. My best find was 2 pieces of the same bue fabric for 20 cents. I had no idea how long the material was, but I knew they were both big pieces. When I got home, I discovered that each piece of fabric was 3 yds long. Twenty cents for six yards of material is not bad at all!

The ones in Enid are HIGH compared to all the bargains I read about here--mostly $2 per yard or more....

Ouch! I get some less than a dollar---usually just a price put on the piece----sometimes only 40 cents or therebouts for a yard or more. Keep waiting for it to go up though like everything else.

We have a new GW. I've found some good fabric in there for a small price. Once piece was 7 yd. I think I paid less than $5 and got 25% off.

Wow! Don't you love it? I got two cotton men's shirts - one pink, one lavendar - for my latest Linus quilt, some jeans for a couple of little girl purses and the top for a table runner that is printed with pineapples. All of this for $6.

Bought this working machine last Friday at a Thrift shop for $12.50. It is a White Rotary77 Sewmaster....no belt and wheel moves clockwise! Love Thrift stores!

I think it is made of leftover Tank metal but sews beautifully.
