Yum!
Me too! It is the one thing I miss most about Texas. Cherries at roadside stands!

What a joy to see that someone still does the basics the old fashioned way.....AND to think the dishes are done in the sink too! Time to sit and enjoy the beauty of the jars. Congrats to your family for having someone who not only knows how to make jam but also for taking the time to do so.

That looks so good - been a long time since I've done any canning, brings back a funny memory of day's gone by...I never canned untill I married my husband. His mom was an old hand at it so I figured I better learn how. We bought a lug of cherries at the grocery store, I canned them up as the directions said. Everything sealed up just fine. My husband asked if I had pitted them first. Told me they would start growing in the jar and they would all break... to my relief none did - I believed this would truely happen untill months later I told him none had broken and he laughed his head off!

Your cherry jelly/jam looks wonderful. Love your flowers in the pic.
I, too, have not sewn. We have canned 42 quarts of green beans for us and 35 for Olivia, and her parents if she wants to share. I would enclose a pic, but green beans are not near as pretty as cherries.
