Oh that is fantastic. That sari material is fabulous. Lucky you. Bet you make her a quilt from them. Wonder if that would be acceptable culturally. Have to be so careful these day. Politically correct, Hm. Anyway, Happy Quilting.

Wish I could find a doctor as nice as yours. Seems like the ones at our HMO only have "minutes" to spend time with you.

Awesome! My eye dr's wife works with him and always gives me an idea or hint re: quilts when I'm there. Her quilts are on all the walls. Last time she showed me how to make a one seam flying geese block- real cool!

Sounds like Sari material...How lucky you are!!! There is a LOT of fabric in a sari! (I shot a wedding last summer, the bride was beyond petite, and it was amazing to watch her in-laws fold that fabric up to make it fit her...there were a lot of safety pins on that bride!)

I've discovered that simply asking will get you an honest answer.
That has prevented me from a great many blunders..not entirely but sure has helped a lot!!! Just flat out ask.

I told her no, well it turns out she was talking about the clothes she wears, and was wondering if I would be offended if she brought some into the office to go through, and not to feel obligated, but I could have what I wanted. She said they were 6 yds, each, and mostly cotton ones. Anyway she is going to dig out the ones she doesn't wear anymore and bring them innto the office and have them call me when she does. What an awesome DR. I have. Maybe I will make her a quilt for Christmas out of the material
she was talking about her Saree....(Sari)...lucky you...get all you can and if you don't want them I do!
