A while back a QB member posted an amusing background on the southern term "Bless your heart". Something about the context it is used in can be a very classy way of saying "stuff it" (or even worse expletives if that is what you think!). If they do show up and start pointing out the so called "right" way to do things, just say "well bless your heart for saying something" while thinking bless your heart translates to "go %*$& yourself" then quickly add, I would love to see what you mean can you show me where your donation quilts are so I can go look when I get a break from volunteering? Of course this all depends on how they offer their advice. If you perceive it as well meaning, genuine, and offered as a way to improve your skills then bless your heart will take on a literal meaning. Don't be on the offensive should the occasional pearl of wisdom come along.

You made 21 quilts!!!!! I'm excited that I got 1 completed for our local group's charity cause. I've seen your postings of some & you have nothing to worry about. If you have reasonable prices you should be seeing them fly off the table.

Do you have signage stating where $$ ends up -
i.e HELP A HEART (all proceeds help children with heart disease). Big & bold kid print should attract potential customers & might tug at some hearts. Got a kid around to write it for you?

If the QP show up, remind them that it's 'National Quilt Police Appreciation Day' & their boss told you to relay the message that they have the day off. LOL

Good luck & let us know how it all went.

Bless your heart. I'm sure you'll only have positive comments, but if the dreaded QP show up, tell them that Little Man is the new Sheriff in town and all of your quilts have passed his inspection.

Enjoy the day in the same spirit that the quilts were made - Charity, Faith & Love.

Sending the wish for peace in your heart and mind, and am so proud of you for making the quilts to help the sick kids. Hugs!
