On another website which I won't name, finds the girls who pose with power tools offensive. They claim it is pornography. I personally don't see how it is.

Just a yes or no answer will do.

I don't want this to become a train wreck, so please be nice.

I don't know if you are talking about something specific or just in general. No, I don't find it offensive because I happen to use power tools when needed.

No I don't think so...I use power tools if I need to.

No, but I really don't get offended by much (and all the power tools in the house are mine anyway).

I guess it depends on what the girls are wearing. If they are in a bikini or undies, then yes, because who uses power tools in their bathing suit? But, if the girls are wearing something appropriate, then I think it's ok.

Suggestive maybe. Pornography not, unless they're involved with some act involving those power tools! People get too worked up about nothing.

one show or ad had a muscled guy posing with a leaf blower! I could have done without that pose.

I would have to see it, because I can't quite visualize why it would be pornography.

I agree with Nancy...get tired of the constant flaunting (maybe cuz I don't and will never again look like that? ;) ) On the other hand, Pinup girls have been the norm since what? The 1920's or 30's...what's one or two more? If it sells tools why should they stop?

Like my DH is dumb enough to buy a tool because cutsie is posing with it. I'd rather see it in use for what it works on. LOL. Not offensive to me, just big business. You see the makeup ladies and I now I won't look like them, no way, but I buy the makeup. Same o same o....Sigh......

Thank you for posting the examples. I don't consider that pornographic at all. It wouldn't influence what tools I purchase. There are commercials on tv that I think are a whole lot worse than this, like the girls in their skimpy bras and panties, pills trying to make men grow in that certain area, feminie supplies, etc...

Girls with tools and standing in suggestive poses? Yes, it's stupid. Offensive depends on attitude of the guy who has the picture.

I buy tools because I need them, and don't know or care what kind of advertising they have for that particular tool. Wouldn't care much even if I did see it. I can find lots other things to get my pantyhose in a bind about if I wanted to.

Looks like cheesecake pose to me. Not porn. Gals wear less than that to Walmart.

The photo reminds me of the actress Debbie Dunning (Heidi) on the old 'tool time' Home Improvement TV show with Tim Allen. I always thought she looked like Daisy Mae and a bit suggestive but her spot on the show was brief so I wasn't offended.

    I wouldn't call it porn.

I am mildly offended because it feeds a culture that values women for their looks and sex appeal over their abilities.
