Top 10 Reasons Farm Trucks Are Never Stolen
#13
hey- I resemble that remark- we have 1- a 1961 Scout truck. So beat up, but purrs like a kitten. It is all one color- red, but various shades- depends on the paint can used. :)
hubby wanted to put it on the road this past winter- I swore I'd divorce him, I'd be so embarrassed! It is a workhorse though! isn't it funny the things you read on this board......

My dad had a couple of pickups like that, the one I remember most was the one that the doors did not stay closed and it was a shift on the floor. We had to bunge cord the doors and not sit near the edge of the seat going around a corner.
We also owned a truck like that, we took it uptown one day, and as I was stepping to get out from the passenger side my left foot went thru the floor and my right foot was trying to reach the ground outside the door. It was hard to get my leg out without getting cut on the metal and we were laughing so hard we couldn't quite use our brains to figure it out. The kids had to get dad so he could help get mom out of the floor of the pickup.

My son owned an ugly little brown 1977 Ford Pinto. He paid 100 dollars for this tin can. There were many times he wished someone would steal it. He would go to the mall and leave the keys in it. And be disappointed to see it still there waiting for him. Finally, as luck would have it, a rock hauler cut him off and sent him into a concrete barrier. The insurance company totaled the thing......he was so happy!!....lol

I had one of them too! A 1969 F150 tank that you had to shoo the goat off to go anywhere! There must be something in that old red paint that holds them together, because the rust wasn't!
I remember driving home from a livestock auction, loaded with turkey poults, and hanging a flashlight out the window when the lights decided not to work any more. We ended up selling it a yard sale.
