My first quilt was a disaster on wheels. I was so embarrassed of it that I hid in my closet with the intention of using it as a dog blanket or throwing it away.

Tonight I went in my little girl's room to check in her while she slept. My sweet little one had it all wrapped around herself, and her puppy was nestled under a corner of it with his little head peeping out. I have no idea how she found it. I almost took a picture but I did not want to disturb their sleep. Somehow that quilt doesn't look so awful now.

See, she saw the beauty in it. It was keeping her and her puppy warm and happy. How wonderful!

How very sweet! Children often see beauty where we see none.
