Not so much type of music I like most anything I can understand the words to. We have a station here that plays a wide assortment you never know what you'll hear They call them golden oldies, but if it was released last week they consider it old. LOL in one afternoon I heard county gospel followed by The Beetles and soon after The Boogy Woogy Bugel Boy. (now thats older than me!)

old country, gospel, some classical, or movies, anything Jane Austen, or old ones. Sometimes TV anything with an autopsy especially Gil or Gibbs.

Usually the country station is on, but also the tv. Each is playing in a different room and both are in rooms that adjoin my sewing studio. When I'm sewing I can hear the radio. When I'm ironing I watch tv. Ha ha ha, usually the tv has Ben Matlock on or In the Heat of the Night!

Usually the country station, we actually have two country stations up here :-) Sometimes I alternate with classic rock and classical.

me too. Music has unpredictable conflicting emotions and cannot tune out the words...occasionally if string piecing classical piano is ok.

sewing for me is comunicating with the fabric, needle and thread. my sewing machine and I have an exclusive relationship. (whispering...of course you know i have 4 sewing machines..)

Peace and quiet and preferably without the loud yakkety neighbours standing right in front of my windows in order to gossip.

For me right now it is Adele, I love her music. It makes me sway in my chair. I also grew up in the 60-70 era. So lots of music from that time. I love to turn my music up really loud, it turns down the sound of my husband listening to COURT TV. and old black and white films. Since he retired he does nothing but move between 2 chairs and watch these shows. LORD HELP ME> I SEW and therefore I close my door and turn the music up high. And lately Adele soothes me.

i listen to whatever i can tune in on the radio that night - sometimes it classic rock, sometimes talk radio, love listening to the new pop music - enrigue, rihanna, etc. but i do have cds in my sewing room. if i am working on christmas presents i tend to put in a cd of christmas music to keep me inspired!

I second this one but I do have to add whiney country music to my do not listen list. Give me Johnny Cash and that era but some of the newer ones nope.!! Lately I have been getting DVD's from the library. And watching old TV shows. Right now I am going through Dr.Quinn. .. Or watch British TV on netflix. I did just replace my cassette of Ozark Mountain Daredevils with a CD and my brother and I are putting all of our CD's on our computers. He has over 700. Me less than 50 lol
