Default The TV Show 'LockUp'

Me and my husband were watching an episode of the tv show Lockup, and were happily surprised to see this one young man that was spending his time with a sewing machine making several quilts. They were beautiful. He makes some for the soldiers, and other places that are for charity. We could see the good feeling this man was having creating his quilts. Later in the show they had more on display this man had made. Some were pieced and quilted, and others he had done some nice applique with quilting. I don't know how long he has to serve, but if he gets out anytime soon, he will have a trade that he seems to love.

We never know where we will find a quilter.

I saw this same episode and was so happy to see how much this man was loving making quilts. He has made several quilts of valor and donated several to victims of natural disasters. The really interesting thing was he makes all these stunning quilts with a pair of children scissors because that is the only thing allowed in prison. No rotary cutters allowed. I think he was serving a life sentence

i''ve seen the show a lot. They even showed the jail here on the island out in Riverhead.(My ex works there),Never saw the sewing guy, will have to look for him. I think it's a good idea for all of them that want to make a quilt for charity be offered to them as an activity. All those wasted hours can make people in need a quilt.
