Congrats to both of you on your retirement. Don't be surprised if you find your fun quilting and craft time being invaded by friends and family.

Congratulations!! I would say that's definitely a positive announcement. I'm positively jealous of all of you retirees!! I can't even begin to count how many work Mondays I have left; I've got at *least* 20 years to go, probably more like 25 or even 30! Oh well...that means I just have that much more time to save money and accumulate fabric, right? LOL

Congratulations to all who are retiring. After working for so many years you have earned the time to do as you please! It is a wonderful life style. I enjoy staying home and sewing, and going to jeep rides with my husband. We don't have to wait for a weekend to enjoy our drives!

Retirement is the MOST fantastic "job" you will ever have! LOL I seem to stay so busy, it is unbelievable! When people say they are 'bored' or don't have anything to do, I look at them like they've lost their minds! Most of them have no hobbies, so what can you expect? For me, there's not enough hours in the day, days in the week, weeks in the month, months in the year! LOL on that too! Keep looking forward to retirement and ENJOY every minute of it!!

Congratulations to you both! I know you will love it. I, too, was a teacher for 37 years and am in my second year of retirement. No more alarm clock, no more school functions at night, no more papers to grade and lesson plans to develop. Ahhhhh, it's SO good. Enjoy, and let us see what great things you are creating when you retire!

Thanks to you all for your warm wishes and congrats to those joining me! This is my thirty first year of teaching. Just had my next to the last parent/teacher/student conferences last week. Still enjoy my kids but am looking forward to the next phase.

Ladies I was forced into retirement due toill health. After 2 months decided I needed a hobby and found patchwork I very quickly became an avid part. Health not 100% but it has become my passion and is very frightening as my only outlet and no life outside patchwork.
Enjoy your patchwork in your retirement and keep yourself busy days are too short.
