Here is my end results. Divided it up and will keep one tray for home and the rest is being handed out today. Was fun but I'm ready to get back to quilting!

Glad you enjoyed it, I found her recipe really good, as well! I'm so sorry I never posted again -I've had some bad news this weekend and found it hard to do much beyond necessary. That said, I did get 3 rolls baked (walnut and poppy seed) and brought one to my friend...she loved it, and it made my heart glad to bring back some Christmas memories for her.

I also did the 2nd recipe for 'Angel wings' -but to my taste they did not come out quite right. I'll post a few pictures tonight.

agree, most do their baking in advance of the 20th, I just had not had the time to plan grocery getting and reviewing recipes before this past weekend. We'll try again next year! Thanks to those who posted and shared what they were up to - I truly miss good cinnamon rolls. My roommate in college used to do them once a year for us, 'Swedish Cinnamon Rolls' - I've never had as good since!

I participated without even knowing. I made a small batch of gingerbread men for Christmas. Next weekend I'll make my birthday cake. Every year I make myself a rum cake for for my birthday.

Default Christmas baking and treats

I was thinking of skipping the baking and making of sweets until I was gifted a small selection of little goodies. I then had the idea to make some batches of goodies that I like and to share them with some of my neighbors, my son and brother. That would leave me with a few left-overs of the holiday treats that I love. I will have left one of this or two of that to be enjoyed with a cup of tea and a good book. I have given up so many traditions this holiday season, few little treats will be comforting.

Today and tomorrow are baking mornings then off they go to my neighbors and family. Two kinds of breads, mini loafs, and three kinds of cookies arranged on a pretty Christmas paper plate and tied up with a bow. Small treats for 8 households and the pleasure of gifting for me.
