I have a life long ambition to travel on a Greyhound bus so Washington to somewhere realistically accessible by bus is the answer.
The sun is shining in Kent (the garden of England) and I hope it's shining on you too.

Are you planning to go to Washington D.C. or Washington State?

There is also a show at Hershey, PA (Home to Hershey Chocolates and Hershey Park) that takes place the end of July each year called Quilt Odyssey. It's not as huge as the Lancaster shows but the quality of the quilts is amazing.

Even in the states, back east, they just assume you mean D.C. At work when we had to call back east we always had to stress we were in the west just below Canada...hello?

Just to say a very big thank you to everyone who has given me so much information on which to plan our holiday to Washington DC. I can't wait. It's still a pity about the bus - just a romantic notion! I think I must start saving my money for all those fantastic quilt shops.....
Regards to all
