I have to say you guys have inspired me to get all patriotic, I bought a kit over the weekend for a wall hanging of New Zealand native birds. We have some gorgeous ones, and it's beautifully designed.

Cute, clever and with attitude! Love those Blue Chickens...can't wait to see your NZ Native Bird wall hanging. Years ago I worked with a girl whose partner was from NZ. They took a trip back to visit his parents and they had some wonderful photos, including that of a bunch of Kea. They had stopped for lunch and parked their motorcycle, the birds descended on the bike and proceeded to tear bits of it off. Beautiful birds, but really destructive. She actually named her first daughter Kea...I always wonder if she was as fiesty as the bird she was named after.
