She is a beautiful horse and I also like Delilah. Thanks for sharing the pics and letting us help with the name.

She's beautiful! Your right about "Everyone and their brother has a mare named Lady". Blondie comes to mind. :-)

Thank you, she is a beauty isn't she?!! I'm as excited to have her here as I was to get my 1st horse of my own when I was 12. Thanks for the name ideas girls...still making the list. I have to tell you that our favorite horse we ever had was a golden Palimino stallion named Mr. McGoo (barn name was Goozer or Goozey). This mare looks a whole lot like him in conformation and in the face. We've even thought to call her GeeGee- for Goozer Girl...but it doesn't seem to fit her. The mare's daddy was named Generator's Pride or something like that.

Beautiful horse!

Do you both prefer people names? Her coloring makes me think Sandy. Depending what they are, how about a combo of both of your middle names?

But what about something related to around your lovely place.... Farmer Girl, Garden, Flower, your street or town name or whatever else connects her to her new home?

I really like the idea of secretly, Bernina, officially Nina. I had thought of that too for our new dog, but then the patchy coloring just begged for Patches. Nina is easy and pretty and secretly special to you as a quilter!

Maybe I'm just hungry today but the name Creme Brulee popped in my head. That and Creme Caramel. I'm going to have lunch now. LOL

She looks to me like she should have a Spanish name Cara Mia, or Carmelita. But I agree with those who picked either a dessert, or a chocolate drink name. That could be fitting too.

How about Caramella? lol

She is BEAUTIFUL!
